Gem-set markers in full gold tone
Here the same black and champagne dial as the two-tone 126503 gem-set goes into a case that is yellow gold tone from end to end. Eight small stones in gold settings mark the hours, a short baton stays at 6, and the champagne counters echo the colour of the case. Next to the intense black 126508, this one swaps batons and red trim for stones.

The case, crown, pushers, the bezel with its engraved tachymeter and every link of the Oyster bracelet are yellow gold-plated 904L steel, and the bracelet closes with a folding clasp. Over the dial is sapphire with an anti-reflective coating. The watch is rated to 30 m: wear it in the rain and while washing hands, but take it off before the pool or a shower.
Movement options
Two movements fit this case, and both drive a working chronograph with start, stop and reset. The Japanese one is Miyota-based at 21,600 vph and keeps about 40 hours of reserve. The Swiss one follows the 4130 chronograph and beats at 28,800 vph. On both, the counters read 30 minutes at 3, seconds at 6 and 12 hours at 9. A green dial in the same case is the 126508 John Mayer, and other gold models are on the Daytona catalogue page.
What is the difference between the bright black and the intense black 126508?
The markers and the trim. This bright black dial has eight gem-set markers and no red ring at the edge. The intense black 126508 uses gold batons and adds a thin red ring around the dial.
