A red ring around the dial

Two small red details set this dial apart: a thin red ring at the very edge of the black surface and the red DAYTONA line under the centre. The counters are champagne tone, the batons and hands gold tone, and there are no stones, which keeps it more sporty than the bright black 126508 with gem-set markers. Gold tone everywhere else

The 40 mm case, crown, pushers, engraved tachymeter bezel and Oyster bracelet are yellow gold-plated 904L steel, closing with a folding clasp. A sapphire crystal with an anti-reflective coating sits over the dial. The case is rated to 30 m, so rain and hand washing are fine; leave it on the side for the pool and the shower.

Two movements, one layout

Whichever movement you pick, the counters show 30 minutes at 3, running seconds at 6 and 12 hours at 9, and the pushers start, stop and reset the chronograph. Japanese means a Miyota-based automatic at 21,600 vph with about 40 hours of reserve. Swiss means a movement that follows the 4130 chronograph at 28,800 vph. Is the red on this 126508 dial printed or a separate ring?

On our photos it is a thin red ring running around the edge of the dial, just inside the minute track, plus the red DAYTONA line above the lower counter. The rest of the dial is black with champagne counters.
