One tone from dial to bezel

On photo 04 the champagne dial, the counters and the bezel almost merge into one colour, and only the black hands and printed scales break it. That gives it an even, one-tone look. For more contrast, the grey-dial 116503 keeps the same case, and the later 126503 champagne with black counters adds dark counters to a similar face. Case and plating

Yellow gold plating covers the bezel, crown, pushers and centre links over 904L steel. The crystal is sapphire with an anti-reflective coating. It is rated to 30 m, so everyday splashes are fine and pools are not.

Japanese or Swiss

Japanese is a Miyota-based automatic chronograph, 21,600 vph, about 40 hours. Swiss follows the 4130 chronograph at 28,800 vph. The chronograph starts, stops and resets on both. More two-tone dials are on the Daytona line-up, and the BTF and Clean Daytona notes help with choosing a build.

Is the dial gold or champagne?

Champagne: a pale gold colour that matches the plating. In daylight it reads warm gold, under a lamp it turns lighter.
