The difference from the plain black 126503 is in the markers and the counters. Eight small round stones in gold-tone settings take the place of the batons, and the three counters are champagne tone instead of black, so the dial has two colours and a little sparkle.

The case and bracelet are the same steel and gold combination as the other 126503 dials: 904L steel case middle and outer links, yellow gold plating on the engraved bezel, crown, pushers and centre links. Sapphire with an anti-reflective coating covers the dial, and the Oyster bracelet ends in a folding clasp. Rain and hand washing are fine at 30 m; the pool and the shower are not.

A 40 mm Daytona sits well on wrists of about 17 to 18 cm. The chronograph counts 30 minutes at 3 and 12 hours at 9, with running seconds at 6.
