White face, gold rings
On the 126503 white dial the colour sits in the rings, not in the counters. Each counter is white like the dial and is outlined by a wide gold-tone ring with fine circular lines, while the gold-tone baton markers and the gold hands with dark inlays carry the same warm tone. The only red is the small DAYTONA line above the lower counter. If you prefer a darker face in the same steel and gold case, the black-dial 126503 swaps the white for black, and the earlier m116503 white dial keeps the white.

Steel and gold on one bracelet
Two metals share the work here. The case middle, lugs and outer bracelet links are 904L steel, and the bezel, crown, pushers and centre links are yellow gold-plated. The bezel is metal with an engraved tachymeter scale, so it reads gold rather than black. Under the sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating the dial stays easy to read in bright light. Rated to 30 m, it handles rain and hand washing; keep it out of the pool and the shower.
How the chronograph reads
The 30-minute counter is at 3 o’clock, running seconds at 6 and the 12-hour counter at 9, and the chronograph starts, stops and resets with either movement. Japanese is a Miyota-based automatic chronograph at 21,600 vph with about 40 hours of reserve; Swiss follows the 4130 chronograph at 28,800 vph. A 126503 with gem-set markers is listed too, and the other references are in the Daytona range. For build differences, read our BTF vs Clean Daytona article.
Are the counters on this 126503 black-ringed or gold-ringed?
Gold-ringed. Each of the three white counters sits inside a wide gold-tone ring with fine circular lines, and the hour markers are gold-tone batons. Nothing on this dial is black apart from the hand inlays and the printed scales.
