Three champagne counters, gold batons, a thin red ring around the outer edge and a red DAYTONA line give this black dial more colour than the all-black 126518LN while staying free of stones. Under the black ceramic bezel the red ring is easy to miss in small photos, but it is clear in the close-up.

Same dial, two ways to wear it

On this model the dial sits in a yellow gold-plated 904L steel case with a black ceramic bezel insert and a black rubber strap. The same dial with an engraved gold bezel and a full gold Oyster bracelet is the 126508 intense black. The rubber version is lighter and less formal. Sapphire with anti-reflective coating, rated to 30 m: rain is fine, the pool is not.

Movement options

With the Japanese movement it is a Miyota-based automatic chronograph, 21,600 vph and about 40 hours of reserve; with the Swiss it follows the 4130 chronograph at 28,800 vph.
