Where steel and gold meet
The case sides and the outer bracelet links are 904L steel, so the gold appears as a frame around the dial and a band down the bracelet. That makes it less formal than the all-gold 126508-0001 with a similar white dial. Sapphire crystal; at 30 m it can stay on for hand washing.
Movement and sister dials
Japanese Miyota-based chronograph at 21,600 vph, or Swiss built to follow the 4130 at 28,800 vph. The other 126503 dials we list are the black 126503-0003, the gem-set 126503-0002 and the golden 126503-0004. See the full list of Daytona references for other colours.
Is the gold on the 126503 solid?
No. The bezel, crown, pushers and centre links are yellow gold-plated over 904L steel; the rest is steel.
