The Cosmograph Daytona 126500LN in black represents the current-generation benchmark for Rolex’s racing chronograph. When this reference introduced a ceramic Cerachrom bezel to the steel Daytona for the first time, it immediately became the most sought-after stainless steel chronograph in production. The black dial with contrasting silver subdial rings creates the classic Daytona look that traces its lineage back to the Paul Newman era.

The 126500LN Up Close: Case, Dial and Bracelet
The 40mm Oystersteel case carries the screw-down chronograph pushers that have defined Daytona ergonomics for decades. The black monobloc Cerachrom bezel is moulded as a single piece of ceramic with the tachymeter scale formed into the surface — virtually scratchproof and immune to UV fading. On the dial, three recessed subdials with silver rings provide the chronograph readouts: small seconds at six, 30-minute counter at three, and 12-hour totaliser at nine.
The three-piece link Oyster bracelet terminates in an Oysterlock safety clasp with Easylink comfort extension, allowing fine adjustment without tools. See white-dial and precious-metal variants in the Daytona collection.
Movement Options: Swiss vs Japanese
Two chronograph movement grades are available for this Daytona:
