Long rectangular stones replace the batons on this ice blue dial, and they catch the light far more than plain markers. The counters are ice blue with steel-tone rings, and DAYTONA is printed in red. The 116506-0001 is the same watch with batons, and the 116506 with Arabic numerals is a third dial option.

They show the 40 mm case and Oyster bracelet in 904L steel with a platinum tone, the folding clasp, and sapphire with an anti-reflective coating over the dial. The case is rated to 30 m, which covers rain and hand washing, not the pool.

Movements

The Japanese version is a Miyota-based automatic chronograph at 21,600 vph and about 40 hours of reserve. The Swiss version follows the 4130 chronograph at 28,800 vph. Start, stop and reset work on both, with minutes at 3 and hours at 9. Every Daytona dial we carry is in the collection.

What is the difference between 116506-0001 and 116506-0002?

The markers. The -0001 uses steel batons and brown-ringed counters, while this -0002 has rectangular baguette gem-set markers and counters with steel-tone rings. Case, bezel and bracelet are the same.
