Eastern Arabic numerals
The hour numbers are the Arabic-Indic digits used across the Middle East, not the 1-2-3 numerals, and the day window at 12 shows the weekday in Arabic script (photos 03, 04 and 07). Blue hands and dark blue digits sit on pale ice blue. Its twin with a darker face is the olive green 228206 with Eastern Arabic numerals.

Smooth bezel, platinum tone
The domed bezel has no fluting, which keeps the outline calm and puts the attention on the numerals. Photo 08 shows the watch on a scale and photo 06 the caseback. If you want western batons in yellow gold plating, see the Day-Date II 218238 with a champagne dial; our Day-Date coating test explains what the platinum tone is.
Case and movement
904L steel in a platinum tone, sapphire crystal with anti-reflective coating, magnified date; 30 m is enough for rain, not for water sports.
